Former Proud Boys leader Enrique Tarrio will have to wait to hear his fate after a sentencing hearing set to take place on Wednesday was canceled due to an "emergency." Tarrio's former colleague, Ethan Nordean, also had his sentencing delayed.

The pair were found guilty of seditious conspiracy alongside fellow ex-Proud Boys Joe Biggs and Zach Rehl in May over their actions during the January 6 riots. In the weeks since, prosecutors have revealed that they are seeking long prison terms for the defendants, especially Tarrio and Biggs, whom the Department of Justice wants to spend 33 years behind bars.

According to the Hill, Department of Justice spokesperson Patricia Hartman said the hearings were canceled "due to an emergency," but did not offer any further details.
