According to Metropolitan Police, the shooting occurred just after 6 pm ET on the 1100 block of 21st Street NE, in the Carver Langston neighborhood in Northeast DC.

Smith said that one man was killed in the shooting while two men and one woman were transferred to area hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.
