50% of voters say Trump has America on the right track: Rasmussen poll

Just months into President Donald Trump's second term back in the White House, the majority of US voters say the country is heading in the right direction, with 50 percent responding as such. 

A poll put out on Monday by Rasmussen, using data collected between May 18 and 22, found that 48 percent of likely voters said the country is heading in the right direction. An additional 47 percent said the country was heading in the wrong direction, while five percent were unsure. 

However, a rolling average released by Rasmussen on Wednesday morning covering the past five nights revealed that the number has risen to 50 percent who say the country is on the right track, while 45 percent said it was on the wrong track. "Uncharted Territory," Rasmussen wrote on X.

The number of those who say the country is on the right track includes 75 percent of GOP voters, 31 percent of Democrats, and 45 percent of independents. 

Speaking with The Daily Signal, Rasmussen’s Mark Mitchell said, "In 20 years, the percent of people who say the U.S. is headed in the right direction has never been higher than today." Rasmussen began its right track-wrong track surveys in 2006. 

Mitchell told the Washington Examiner, "Never thought I would see it. I don’t think the Republican Party understands the gravity of the gift which Trump has given them. Unprecedented presidency." He added on X, "Don’t F it up, Republicans."

While President Donald Trump has not directly commented on the polling, he wrote in regards to the direction of the country on Monday, "Our Nation is staging one if the greatest and fastest comebacks in history. In just 4 short months, we are respected again, respected like never before, and just wait, with many Trillions of Dollars of Investment in Plants and Factories, until you see the numbers on GROWTH. This is, indeed, THE GOLDEN AGE OF AMERICA!!!"
