66 percent of Canadians have said they are stressed over Trudeau's significant inflation and the rising costs of goods.
This survey was conducted by Angus Reid, who discovered that inflation is Canada's top financial stressor.
This stress is worse for parents who have kids under the age of 18. For them, the stress of inflation is nearly ubiquitous. They reported being clearly more stressed than other Canadians.
Inflation in Canada has soared to an 18-year high at 4.2 percent. Recently, the Bank of Canada stated that they expect inflation to soon rise to 5 percent, meaning goods and services will get even more expensive for all Canadians.
This is a steeper forecast than what the Bank of Canada was originally expecting, although the governor has not yet suggested that interest rates will be raised to counteract the inflation.
"We recognize inflation is actually likely to move a little higher in the remaining months of this year," said the governor on Wednesday.
"It’s currently running around 4.5 percent. We think it’s going to move up close to five percent," he added. "Then over the course of next year, we think it will come back down."
Last week, veteran Conservative MP Pierre Poilievre blamed the sizeable inflation on the Trudeau government, saying Trudeau's reshuffle created the "costliest cabinet ever."
