A majority of Republican voters believe that former President Donald Trump will remain a "major political force" after his presidency, according to a Rasmussen poll.

A majority of Republican voters believe that former President Donald Trump will remain a "major political force" after his presidency, according to a Rasmussen poll.

Approximately 56 percent of Republican voters say Trump will continue to be an important party o the political landscape, while 34 percent say he will not.

On the other side of the aisle, 60 percent of Democrats said Trump will not retain his high political status after leaving office, only 30 percent of Democrats said that he would.  

Independents were very evenly split, 39 percent said Trump would stay relevant in politics, and 41 percent he would not.

President Trump has reportedly discussed plans to launch a new "Patriot Party," departing from the mainline GOP and embracing his "America First" agenda, according to the Wall Street Journal.

Many have speculated he will build his new populist political party from his Florida residence, where many of his aides and associates have reportedly recently moved.

Top Trump aide Stephen Miller said that Florida would be the perfect place to launch Trump's next political project from.

"Florida, is really the perfect place to be the new HQ of the MAGA movement and a launching pad for the president's next endeavor," Miller said to the Washington Examiner.
