Amnesty International has teamed up with a progressive canvassing group to hire activists to “fundraise” in Seattle to “Demand a Ceasefire in Gaza.” One Jewish organization accused the paid canvassers of being protestors who participate in anti-Israel rallies.

According to the job listing, canvassers can “make up to $30/hour standing up for human rights with Amnesty International!”

“The unparalleled escalation of hostilities between Israel, Hamas, and other armed groups has taken a devastating toll on civilians. We are demanding that Congress and the Biden administration call for an immediate ceasefire to end civilian suffering. Apply today to fight back as part of our door-to-door canvassing team. You can start immediately!”

Amnesty International is partnering with the progressive canvassing organization DVCanvass to offer “Field organizers/Canvassers” paid training and “competitive wages ranging from $20-$30 / hr.”

The paid activists were also offered “$100-$200 weekly bonuses and $600-$1000 monthly bonuses available plus a $300 bring a friend bonus (for both you AND your friend)!” The position also includes, “strong health, vision, and dental insurance, with a 401k,” and “over 25 paid days off per year.”

An added perk is “professional development/management and travel opportunities.”

In the job post, Amnesty claimed that its organization was “inclusive, social workspaces that celebrate diversity and nurture differences.”

Stop Antisemitism accused the organization of “paying protestors a staggering $30 per hour" to join ‘Ceasefire Now’ rallies.” The group wrote on Instagram, “Looking for a side hustle? Amnesty (International) is paying up to $30/hour to help create chaos and spread antisemitism!”

Pro-Palestinian activists have previously pushed back on accusations of activists at anti-Israel rallies being paid. Stop Antisemitism wrote, “Need more proof these "cease fire" activists are nothing more than paid real life trolls who have ZERO knowledge of what's happening on the ground in Gaza/Israel?”

Amnesty International has been accused of antisemitism many times. In February 2022, Amnesty International accused Israel of "apartheid" even though out of every 100 Israeli citizens, 20 are not Jewish. The country is also made up of Arabs, Baha’i, Circassians, Christians, Druze, Muslims, and others who have full voting rights. There are Arab members of the Knesset on the Supreme Court.

Amnesty was also silent about the rapes, torture, kidnappings, and murders of Israelis on October 7, 2023, but only days after the Palestinian terrorist attacks that killed over 1,200 civilians and kidnapped over 250 more, the organization accused Israel of war crimes.

According to the Anti-Defamation League, Amnesty’s USA branch director Paul O’Brien falsely claimed in a March 2022 speech to the Women’s National Democratic Club that Jews don’t feel attached to Israel, contrary to the results in poll after poll. He also argued Israel shouldn’t exist as a Jewish state.
