Members of the Antifa group John Brown Gun Club have started a GoFundMe after having their weapons stolen at the Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone (CHAZ).

While the CHAZ has instituted its own form of unelected security throughout the area, the John Brown Gun Club has been one of the groups to spearhead the effort. But members of the group apparently had their weapons stolen and are now looking to raise money to purchase new ones.

Jack Posobiec posted on Twitter late Monday evening, tweeting: "A member of the Antifa group John Brown Gun Club  got his rifle and full kit stolen after bringing it to CapHill as part of their armed security. He has launched a GoFundMe to raise money to purchase more weapons, after showing he is completely irresponsible with them."

A video posted by someone within the autonomous zone captured an announcement by someone with a speaker, who said: "The John Brown Gun Club is armed for your safety..."

At the time of this writing, the GoFundMe that was started for Antifa's irresponsible security to purchase new weapons had received $480 of the goal amount of $6,000.

The fundraising page states the following: "I was helping with security in the Capitol Hill area so I staged my full kit at what I thought was a someone who could be trusted only to have it stolen... I have received multiple death threats from the far right who wrongly think I’m antifa or a communist but that is not the case I simply wanted to provide security for protestors organizers and community leaders/speakers so that a I could be a deterrent for a potential Charlottesville situation...

"I can guarantee that 'Chaz' is not a far left wing space, no one is being held against their will businesses aren’t being extorted and the media has largely twisted the plot into something it’s not.... I am a man of peace and do not subscribe to any of the race baiting that’s been in constant circulation I’m just trying to find a way to replace what was stolen so I may continue to support the community and fight against racial injustice..."
