BREAKING: Bank of America VP identified as victim in crazed woman's Times Square stabbing spree

The victim killed in a stabbing attack that took place in Times Square on Monday has been identified as a Bank of America Corp vice president. Another person was injured in the attack, and the woman who carried out the stabbing spree was killed by police. 

The NYPD said that Erin Piacenti, 32, died at the hospital. The other victim, a 68-year-old man, was hospitalized in critical but stable condition, per ABC 7. Police identified the attacker as 39-year-old Pamela Cisneros of Queens, describing the attack as “random and unprovoked.”

Piacenti, of Chester, New Jersey, was working as the Vice President of Business Selection and Conflicts at Bank of America in New York City, per the New York Post. She graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 2016, and was a 2021 graduate of Fordham Law School. She had celebrated her second wedding anniversary in early August. 

The incident began with the woman stabbing a man and a woman near West 42nd Street and Seventh Avenue shortly before 4:30 pm. The man was stabbed in the abdomen with a kitchen knife after he exited the subway on West 41st Street. Cisneros then continued up 7th Avenue to 42nd Street, where she stabbed Piancenti in the abdomen. Police said that the stabbing occurred within seconds of each other.

Officers encountered the woman on 7th Avenue between 42nd Street and 43rd Street. Police ordered her multiple times to drop the knives, which she did not comply with. She told the officers, "I’m not dropping anything, I would rather kill both of you.” She repeated, “I will kill you.” Police deployed tasers, however, that did not stop the woman from continuing to confront officers. She was eventually fatally shot by police.
