A massive crowd turned out for former President Donald Trump at his rally in Conroe, Texas. Trump's opening topic of the night was Biden’s failure to secure the U.S. border and moderate immigration.
Trump touched upon a variety of topics during his speech, condemning the Biden administration for empty shelves, the surge in illegal aliens, China’s threats over Taiwan, and rising crime, crumbling infrastructure, and the continuous decline of the American economy.
Citing Biden’s disastrous withdrawal of Afghanistan, Trump said that the disaster was “game changing” for the world’s perception of America – and called on Americans to put America first by voting the Democrats out of office in the upcoming midterms.
“Everyone in Washington is always obsessing over how to protect Ukraine’s border but the most important border in the world for us is America’s border, and we do nothing about it but let people come in whom we have no idea who they are.”
“The first duty of the American president is to defend the American border. Before our leaders talk about invasions of other countries,” referring to Biden’s calls to support Ukraine against Russia, Trump said, “they need to stop the invasion of this country. It’s being invaded.”
“It’s being invaded by people who should not be allowed to do – you know, we had the safest border, the strongest b order, just one year ago. And before Joe Biden sent any troops to defend the border in Eastern Europe he should be sending troops to defend our border right here in Texas. “
“When I left office we handed so many incredible things to the new administration but one of the best was that great secure border and it wasn’t even close. There’s never been a border like that,” added Trump.
“It was like we were living in a different world we had never seen it,” Trump continued. “We had stopped not only people we didn’t want coming in, in most cases. And in many cases, the drugs that are now are surging -- we had the lowest in decades -- yet under Biden over 5 million people trespassed over our border and we have no idea who the hell they are or where they came from.
“But you’ll be paying a price for years to come. This was not a minor incursion this was the single largest border incursion, probably in the history of the world,” said Trump.
Referring to the Presidential Debates, Trump said, “Nobody said we were going to have totally open borders. Nobody would’ve believed that. Biden’s complete abdication of duty is getting untold numbers of innocent Americans killed.”
Trump cited statistics from CBP showing that illegal aliens were responsible for over a thousand murders in the United States, and named a number of different murder cases of Americans the last year.
Trump said that when Republicans retake Congress, the first thing they need to do is to massively increase the number of ICE agents to send back every illegal immigrant let in by the Biden administration.
