BREAKING: Biden begs press and social media to censor 'misinformation and disinformation' from platforms

President Joe Biden gave an "update on the whole-of-government COVID-19 surge response on Thursday morning." Biden begged Americans to wear masks, stating that free masks would soon be available. He pressed vaccines on the unvaccinated, boosters on the vaccinated, and asked social media and media companies not to run stories or allow posts that run counter to government narratives on COVID.

"I make a special appeal to social media companies and media outlets," he said, please deal with the misinformation and disinformation that's on your shows, it has to stop." He shook his head in dismay. He said further that COVID-19 is one of the most formidable enemies America has ever faced, and "we've got to work together."

Biden said that he has directed "6 additional medical teams, a total of more than 120 military medical personnel, to 6 hard-hit states." He listed them off, counting on his fingers: "Michigan, New York, New Jersey, Ohio and Rhode Island." And then stopped at five states.

He begged Americans to wear masks, lamenting that many simply don't anymore. He noted that it was unpleasant, but that it must be done. This comes as increasing reports from the CDC show that masking with anything other than specific, N95 masks that are tight-fitting, is basically not effective.

"Next week we will announce how we are making high-quality masks available to the American people for free." He acknowledged that they are unpleasant, but said they were essential "to stop the spread of the highly transmittable Omicron variant. So please, please wear the mask," he begged.

After begging the public to comply with his directives, he said "Unfortunately, as our military is stepping up, as they always do, there are others standing on the sidelines, and worse, standing in the way. If you haven't gotten vaccinated, do it. Personal choice impacts us all, our hospitals, our country."
