After the US Supreme Court ruled on Monday that former President Donald Trump would remain on the ballot in Colorado, Trump stated the decision was a "big win for America."

In addition to Trump's comments posted to the platform Truth Social, the law firm that represents the former president in the made a statement.

"This victory is not just for President Trump but for the integrity of our electoral system and the rights of voters across the country. The attempt to use the 14th Amendment in this manner was a dangerous overreach that, if left unchallenged, could have set a perilous precedent for future election," Harmeet Dhillon, founder and managing partner of the Dhillon Law Group, stated. "We are proud to have defended the constitutional rights at stake and grateful for the Supreme Court's unequivocal affirmation of these fundamental principles."

SCOTUS ruled 9-0 in favor of Trump's challenge to be placed back on the Colorado ballot ahead of the state's primary on Super Tuesday. In addition, no other state can individually take action to take Trump off the ballot.

The court argued, "If States were free to enforce Section 3 by barring candidates from running in the first place, Congress would be forced to exercise its disability removal power before voting begins if it wished for its decision to have any effect on the current election cycle. Perhaps a State may burden congressional authority in such a way when it exercises its 'exclusive' sovereign power over its own state offices."
