A Toronto based blog has published a guide on what to do when your neighbour defies lockdown measures. BlogTO published this guide on Monday, just as COVID numbers continue to be a problem for Ontario.

The blog addresses the inefficiency thus far from the current measures and it recommends that the individual takes action.

The blog reads, "but what happens when you can actually hear a party taking place or see multiple families, unmasked, entering one household with your own eyes? What happens when the people dangerously flouting lockdown restrictions are your neighbours?

BlogTO seemingly contacted a city spokesperson for the answer to this. "The short answer is the best thing to do is call 311 to report," said the spokesperson.

It is also noted that there isn't always much to be done about gatherings as they often disperse prior to the arrival of police.

Under the Reopening Ontario Act, illegal gatherings could face fines between $10,000 and $100,000, plus a potential term of imprisonment of not more than one year. Furthermore, an individual attending a gathering may get hit with a fine of $750 to $100,000, including up to one year in jail.
