Antifa assaulted demonstrators and reporters at a protest Saturday outside a Los Angeles spa where a customer complained last week that a male individual's genitals were exposed to women and girls in the female section.
Antifa showed up to counter the small demonstration, accusing participants of "transphobia" for taking issue with the Wi Spa's refusal to act against the adult biological male who exposed his genitals to young girls and women.
A mob of Antifa militants punched a man then chased and assaulted a videographer at the Wi Spa demonstration in Koreatown.
"Get the f— out of here! Keep walking!" the black-clad crowd members shouted at the man, shoving him across the crosswalk on Wilshire Blvd where the spa is located. "No safe spaces for chuds! Get the f— out of the neighborhood!"
Another individual who was recording the incident was tailed by the agitators. The Antifascist Action flag was displayed at the front of the enraged mob marching after the videographer. "Get the camera!" the Antifa activists ordered. "Flank him on the right!" was instructed to coordinate the attack.
"Go home, racist!" one of the instigators shouted. Another told the man: "Go home and cry to your wife and kids that don't love you anymore!"
He was stalked for another block before he cut in front of traffic to escape the scene. A police car then appeared at the next intersection, spooking the Antifa protesters. "Fall back!" the group instructed its members.
Antifa protesters also intimidated and harassed a member of the press, throwing water on the reporter and forcing him away from documenting the public event.
Newsmax correspondent James Klug was one of the multiple journalists filming the event who was accosted and beaten. Klug said he was struck with a club.
"Nearest police presence is blocks away," Klug reported on Twitter.
Klug later informed that a conservative demonstrator's arm was cut with a knife and left bleeding. She wore protective goggles, an American mask, and a ballistic vest while she crouched compressing the forearm wound.
A lone young man's sign was ripped up by an Antifa assailant. He brandished pepper spray then was tackled to the ground and kicked by the surrounding mob. Several men in suits arrived, ordering the crowd to stay back.
"Peaceful protest!" the men yelled at the Antifa aggressors.
Antifa militants assaulted street preachers who tried to attend the protest. The religious protest-goers donned "Obey Jesus" and "Ye Must Be Born Again" apparel while carrying similar themed signage. After a handful of the protesters were shoved across the street, the Antifa activists returned to confront the stragglers.
"Get out of here buddy! You don't belong here!" was howled at an older man in "A Solider of the Cross" t-shirt who was carrying a megaphone. He was knocked to pavement at one point as the Antifa aggressors attempted to steal his poster.
A large Official Street Preachers banner was torn away from an older woman. A man attempted to retrieve the sign but a skateboard was smashed over his head.
The crowd stopped pursuing the male protester after he sought refuge behind a police officer. "Man, f— you for protecting this piece of sh*t!" the crowd shouted.
Antifa member Chad Loder, a frequent inciter of violence, supported the violent assault on the street preacher who was left bloodied by the skateboard strike. "No hate rallies in LA," Loder tweeted, adding: "gtfoh [Get the f— out of here]."
An Asian man was also targeted. He used an orange bottle to defend himself from the female assailant. An officer led the man away while the crowd chastised him.
"F—ing coward. Hit a man, you fing b*tch!" a group member hollered.
Twitter users associated with Antifa tried to gaslight the incident and reverse the roles of victim and perpetrator. "[T]his wasn't 'self defense,' he was beating a person with a weapon," one of the Antifa accounts insisted.
The assailant kicked the Asian man in the crotch first before he fought back, The Post Millennial's editor-at-large Andy Ngo explained. "Antifa accounts depend on lies and deception to legitimize their violence," Ngo tweeted in response.
Another individual was hit with a melee weapon by someone who charged towards the assembly of protesters and rushed the person from behind.
A masked Latino couple was pushed and prodded along the sidewalks
"Stop touching us!" the woman turned around and exclaimed. "Don't get too cocky motherf—ers!" a man shouted back. "You're gonna get your ass knocked down!"
A peaceful protester was holding a sign before an Antifa activist snatched it and ripped it apart. As the woman attempted to leave, she was blocked from exiting.
"Go home, transphobes!" the crowd chanted. "You don't need that sign. That sign doesn't do anything for anyone," the man who tore up the sign said.
One agitator stole the middle-aged woman's hat from her head while another grabbed her sunglasses from her face and threw it. "I don't mind transpeople. I just don't want to see their penises in our locker room," the woman stated calmly.
"We don't want to see your vaginas either! Get your p*ssy ass out of here, b*tch!" a man retorted. She stood resolutely while the crowd mocked her.
The same woman was mobbed away from the protest. "Don't worry! We'll walk you out! Go!" a female protester shouted through the bullhorn. "Karen, hurry the f— up! It's time to go, Karen! Go home, Karen! Go back to Orange County!"
Brawls also broke out in the middle of the busy four-way intersection.
Klug reported witnessing at least one arrest so far as more fights broke out.
Local police did not appear be responding to the repeated acts of violence at first. Los Angeles Police Department officers eventually arrived in large numbers.
A large dumpster fire was started in the street near law enforcement presence.
The Antifa militants became confrontational with responding authorities as the protesters agitated the line of police assigned to monitor the escalating event.
A shirtless Latino man smacked an Antifa militant in the face with a rosary. When he is placed under arrest, the far-left protesters thanked the police.
The direct action was promoted by Antifa accounts on Twitter to rally comrades to counter protest the initial demonstration. "Please consider joining us as we stand against rampant transphobia in Los Angeles," tweeted SoCal Antifa, a self-described group of Antifa activists spread throughout Southern California.
SoCal Antifa posted an event graphic calling on activists to protest at the Wi Spa. "It's time to stand up up for our trans siblings," the ad read. "No bigotry in L.A." The graphic urged, "Everyone has a right to self care!"
"Our trans siblings need us now more than ever to stand up for their right to safe spaces," the SoCal Antifa advertisement concluded, claiming that "transphobic conservatives are planning to protest against Wi Spa for simply serving transgender folks without discrimination."
Another event graphic for Saturday's counter protest instructed fellow Antifa comrades to "Smash Transphobia" and "Smash Fascism." The opposing direct action event was framed as an intersectional Pride rally. "Local Chuds and assorted bigots are planning a rally at a local spa. Lets mask up and show our pride!" tweeted the South West chapter of the Youth Liberation Front (SW YLF).
The Koreatown health club became the center of controversy after a female customer confronted spa staff about a transwoman with male genitals being permitted to disrobe in the spa's women section. The confrontation was caught on camera last weekend, fueling online discourse with threats of a boycott against the spa. Antifa groups have painted the incident as as a matter of trans rights—opposed to the rights of "cisgender" females to not be exposed to male anatomy.
