Video footage captured by Human Events senior editor Jack Posobiec shows climate activists crashing the black tie event during the middle of Senator Vance's speech.
On Wednesday, climate activists disrupted a gala hosted by the American Moment at the Kimpton Hotel Monaco in Washington, DC featuring Republican Senator JD Vance, political commentator David Sacks, and former Trump White House Chief-of-Staff Mark Meadows.
The disruption ultimately failed, and the agitators were thrown out by US military veteran Tom Sauer and other guests in attendance.
Video footage captured by Human Events senior editor Jack Posobiec shows climate activists crashing the formal event during the middle of Senator Vance's speech. The activists chanted slogans about fossil fuels, called out politicians, and displayed a banner.
Eyewitnesses say that young women working the event were assaulted by the climate agitators. Posobiec sprung into action to protect the young women.
"Come on JD, face us!" one activist chanted before being escorted out of the venue.
"He's a climate criminal," another activist chanted.
Others in the group arrived with a sign and attempted to display it before they were also thrown out.
Posobiec's wife, Tanya Tay, who was also in attendance posted about the incident on X and wrote: "Jack was on his feet the minute they started getting close to me. They did NOT pick the right room to mess with."
The American Moment's mission, according to its website, is to "identify, educate, and credential young Americans who will implement public policy that supports strong families, a sovereign nation, and prosperity for all. American Moment hosts events, produces original content, and builds networks to create personnel who will implement our priorities in government, business, and public policy organizations."
