More than 60 people were fired from Republican National Committee on Monday after the organization has come under new leadership. Co-chairs Lara Trump and Michael Whatley have been cleaning house.

"Bloodbath at the RNC is underway," Charlie Kirk said. "60+ firings just today. This is excellent. The anti-Trump sleeper cells all have to go. The RNC is getting ready to win."

Fox News reported that "a major shakeup" was underway at the RNC.

The RNC has come under fire in recent years as Republican wins have been few and far between. Former RNC Chair Ronna McDaniel was urged to step aside as it became clear that she was not looking forward to the prospect of Donald Trump securing the party's presidential nomination as he sought a second term in the White House.

Though she resisted the change in leadership, she came to the decision to step aside last month and made the announcement that she would do so after Super Tuesday. Trump's only remaining competitor in the GOP field, Nikki Haley, lost any prospect to gain the nomination after losing 15 of 16 states to Trump on March 5.

Lara Trump and Whatley have been hand-picked by Donald Trump to lead the party as the nation heads into the general election in November.
