On Wednesday, Elon Musk announced that any accounts doxxing a person's real-time location information would be suspended from Twitter.

In a follow-up tweet, the billionaire revealed that the car his son X Æ A-12 was in had been followed by a "crazy stalker" the night before.

"Any account doxxing real-time location info of anyone will be suspended, as it is a physical safety violation," Musk tweeted, adding that the policy "includes posting links to sites with real-time location info."

"Posting locations someone traveled to on a slightly delayed basis," he noted, "isn’t a safety problem, so is ok."

"Last night," he continued, "car carrying lil X in LA was followed by crazy stalker (thinking it was me), who later blocked car from moving & climbed onto hood."

Musk has pledged to take legal action against Sweeney for putting his family in danger.

"Sweeney" refers to Jack Sweeney, @JxckSweeney, the man behind the infamous @ElonJet and @TrumpJets accounts that tracked the movement of Musk and Trump's private jets.

According to Sweeney, all thirty of his Twitter accounts had been suspended under the new policy, which came into effect Wednesday. The @ElonJet account was briefly reinstated, but got the boot just minutes later.

The terms of use now state that users are not allowed to share "live location information" of any individual without their consent "regardless if this information is puplicly available."

In November, Musk tweeted that his "commitment to free speech" extended to include giving a platform to @ElonJet despite it being "a direct personal safety risk."

The fact that his son was stalked by someone allegedly thinking it was him seems to have caused Musk to reverse course, and crack down on those who share the locations of public figures and private individuals alike.

This is a breaking story and will be updated.
