Popular YouTuber Mr Beast has launched his show on X. After speculation that he absolutely would not launch on X, the streamer posted his show on Monday evening in partnership with Elon Musk's free speech platform. Prager U was approached by X and asked if they would be interested in running an ad before the show. Given the scope of the Mr Beast audience, and his popularity among young people, Prager was glad to do it.

The educational platform leaned into criticism that they're not a real university. Prager's Chief Marketing Officer Craig Strazzeri told The Post Millennial that "every time we've ever done anything meaningful the main narrative from left wing media companies is always 'oh, but Prager U is not a real university." They decided to lean into that.

"We never claimed to be a university, we think it's a good thing that we're not a real university. Real universities are woke and filled with left wing indoctrination. So we're proudly not a real university and we're proudly providing an alternative," Strazzeri said. Prager U presents content for all age groups.

X presented Prager U with this opportunity, Strazzeri said, "to reach more people." Mr Beast has 229 million subscribers on YouTube.

Musk had an exchange with Mr Beast on X recently in which he suggested that the popular show come over to X. "My videos cost millions to make and even if they got a billion views on X it wouldn’t fund a fraction of it :/ I’m down though to test stuff once monetization is really cranking!" Mr Beast said in reply.

After that offer was essentially rebuffed, Musk said that online creators would soon get a bigger paycheck from X for posting on the platform. "Creator rewards will increase significantly this year," Musk said.

After the video posted, Mr Beast mused "I’m super curious how much the ad revenue will make."
