Coronavirus centres across Ontario will be opening in the coming days, as the province and the country begin to put measures in place that will protect Canadians from the highly contagious virus.
The Ford government announced that facilities will be opened at Brampton Civic Hospital, The Ottawa Hospital, North York General Hospital, Mackenzie Health in York Region, Scarborough Health Network, and Trillium Health Partners in Peel Region, reports Global News.
Patients will be placed in a separate space than the general public, as to not spread the disease.
More centres are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
The Ford government has also made steps in approving a physician billing code for nurses and doctors to do more evaluations over the phone, rather than coming into clinics where they could potentially spread the disease.
