The Instagram account of Donald Trump Jr., son of the President of the United States, may be deleted as the Facebook-owned social media giant has sent a warning over posts with "harmful, false information."

The information deemed "false" by Instagram is actually a pair of conflicting headlines from CNN regarding the effectiveness of Hydroxychloroquine in treating COVID-19.

Despite initial reports from CNN criticizing the president for praising the drug, even they had to come around and admit that it had proven highly effective in treating the virus in some lab studies.

It's the latest example of the Big Tech sword of Damocles that hangs above the head of prominent conservatives with massive online followings. Despite Trump Jr. posting headlines from what is considered a "reliable news source" in CNN, Trump was given a strike on an Instagram account with a huge following of 3.1 million.

"The censorship is real and it continues. Instagram is taking down posts about people comparing the CNN headlines about Hydroxychloroquine," said Trump in an Instagram post. "These are actual headlines from CNN, but because it doesn’t fit the narrative the social media masters are going to make sure that no one actually hears the truth. I see it in my numbers especially on Twitter these days where my engagement magically went way down in the last few weeks. There is nothing they won’t do to manipulate the truth and facts to suit their ends. This is how they’re going to try to sway the 2020 election. Don't let them get away with it."
