Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has reportedly been whisked away to a "secret location" as a convoy of truckers has descended on Ottawa to protest the government's vaccine mandates.

The Independent reports that the Trudeau family have left their resident due to "security concerns" over the truckers who are currently gridlocking the city with their trucks, honking their horns, and participating in protests including singing the national anthem outside Parliament Hill.

The location of the Prime Minister is undisclosed. Parliament's Sergeant-at-Arms warned that there was a possibility that protestors could state their case outside the Prime Minister's home or other officials.

Trudeau has offered only condemnation to the truckers and their protest, saying that the truckers and their supporters are a "small fringe minority."

"The small fringe minority of people who are on their way to Ottawa who are holding unacceptable views that they are expressing do not represent the views of Canadians who have been there for each other, who know that following the science and stepping up to protect each other is the best way to continue to ensure our freedoms, our rights, our values, as a country," Trudeau said this week.

Trudeau has reportedly been in isolation after one of his children tested positive for COVID.

The convoy has been celebrated by advocates of freedom throughout the world, including Joe Rogan, Russell Brand, Jordan Peterson, and many conservative politicians.
