As Vice President Kamala Harris held a rally in Wisconsin on Tuesday, leaning into her history as a prosecutor, the crowd started chanting "Lock him up!" in reference to Donald Trump.

"I was elected attorney general of the state of California and I was a courtroom prosecutor before then. And in those roles I took on perpetrators of all kinds: predators who abused women, fraudsters who ripped off consumers, cheaters who broke the rules for their own gain. So, hear me when I say I know Donald Trump’s type," Harris said.

The crowd went wild for the statement, and then proceeded to chant, "Lock him up!" about Trump.

The Harris campaign said that a few thousand attended the rally taking place at an indoor gymnasium in Milwaukee Wisconsin. Harris had walked out on stage to Beyonce’s “Freedom,” per the New York Post

Wisconsin Democratic chairman Ben Wikler told outlet that he was "bursting with energy" in light of the rally. The “prosecutor” attack on Trump from Harris comes as he has been involved in several legal battles, with the multiple cases being heavily scrutinized as “lawfare” The legal cases from Jack Smith as well as Fani Willis have both faced large hang-ups in going after the GOP nominee.

Judge Aileen Cannon dismissed Smith's classified documents case against Trump, ruling that Smith's appointment was unconstitutional and Smith is now appealing the decision. Additionally, Willis' election case against Trump in Georgia has been put on hold as a hearing needs to take place to determine whether or not Willis will be removed from the case.
