A new poll released on Tuesday has revealed that with Robert F Kennedy Jr now running as an independent candidate instead of a Democrat, he is taking a chunk of Trump support, pushing Biden into the lead.
According to the NPR/PBS NewsHour/Marist National Poll, In a two-way race between Trump and Biden for the 2024 presidential election, 49 percent of registered voters said they would vote for Biden, while 46 percent said they would vote for Trump, with 5 percent being undecided.
With Kennedy thrown into the mix, Biden’s support dropped to 44 percent among registered voters, while Trump’s sunk to 37 percent. Kennedy received 16 percent of support from registered voters, with 3 percent remaining undecided.
The poll was conducted on October 11 of 1,218 registered voters and has a margin of error of 3.9 percent.
Notably, Trump saw an edge among independent voters over Biden in a two-way race with 49 percent saying that they would vote for Trump while 43 percent said they would vote for Biden. 8 percent were undecided.
In a three-way 2024 race between Biden, Trump, and Kennedy, 34 percent of independents said they would vote for Trump, 33 percent said they would vote for Biden, and 29 percent said they would vote for Kennedy. 4 percent were undecided.
On October 9, Kennedy announced that he would be launching an independent bid for president.
"I’m here to declare myself an independent candidate for president for the United States. I’m here to join you in making a new declaration of independence for our entire nation," Kennedy said during the Philadelphia event, according to the Guardian.
"A rising tide of discontent is swamping our country. There’s a danger in this discontent but there’s also opportunity and promise," Kennedy added.

Never trust a Kennedy. They are bleeding heart liberals that will carry on the corrupt operation of the Obama administration. He'd do nothing about the disgusting indoctrination of our children, the disgrace of our military, the invasion of our border, out of control crime or the strangulation of taxpayers experiencing the worst inflation in decades. He would let the FBI, CIA and other corrupt agencies run amuck while terrorizing conservatives. He cannot be trusted to be any different than what we are experiencing by the Left right now.
