PayPal will allow its users to send bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies to their own wallets.

This after Jose Fernandez da Ponte, the head of blockchain and cryptocurrency at PayPal, made the announcement at a conference on Wednesday, reports Decrypt.

"We want to make it as open as possible," said. "We understand there is more utility to those tokens if you can move them around, so we are definitely exploring how we can let people transfer crypto to and from their PayPal addresses."

There is currently not a date on when this feature will be implemented.
