BREAKING: President Trump blasts Joe Biden as a ‘threat to democracy’ to massive overflow Iowa crowd

"We have a crooked country in so many different ways..."

GOP frontrunner President Donald Trump was met with massive excitement in Iowa after he promised voters he would move to secure the United States' southern border during a rally in Indianola on Sunday. The Iowa caucuses will be held on Monday. Trump is in the lead far ahead of second place Nikki Haley. Ron DeSantis has slipped to third place.

"Biden and his henchman are so desperate to stop us that they're weaponizing law enforcement for high level election interference," Trump said.

"Joe Biden is a threat to democracy," he said, going on to note that there were two reasons for this. One of these, Trump said, is that Biden is incompetent, and the other is that he is being managed by staff who are not incompetent and are running the country on his behalf.

"We have a crooked country in so many different ways," Trump said to the crowd. "It's so dishonest. We need borders, and we need fair elections. Those are the two primary things. Everything else can straighten itself out."

The former president was interrupted by a heckler during his speech. He responded by saying "thank you," to her before later saying, "Go home to mommy."

Trump took aim at the Democrats as well as the administrative states over their legal actions against him during his time in office, telling the audience, "They had to go a long way to the war on free speech. Right up until trying to jail their number one political opponents. We, my parents never had this in mind for me. They're looking down. They're saying, 'my son has been indicted four times.' They didn't know what the word indictment means ... I got indicted. I got indicted more than the late great gangster Alphonse Capone. Ever hear of Al Capone Scarface? He kills people..."

This is a breaking story and will be updated.
