Protestors and Toronto police clashed outside of Toronto Mayor John Tory's condo Monday evening. 680 News' Michelle Mackey tweeted video footage of a young woman attempting to climb onto a building structure and being pulled down by police officers.

Protestors were demonstrating their opposition to Covid evictions.

"Tenants arrive at John Tory’s million dollar condo to tell him that we will never forgive how he threw working class people in Toronto under the bus to protect the interests of his landlord friends," read a tweet by People's Defence Toronto.

After this, a number of physical altercations took place between police and activists.

Arrests were made and "protesters refuse to leave until demonstrators have been released without charges" according to Mackey.

This is a breaking story and it will be updated.
