BREAKING: Republican Matt Van Epps beats far-left Aftyn Behn in Tennessee special election

Trump-endorsed Matt Van Epps has won the special election for Tennessee's 7th House district against far-leftist Aftyn Behn. Behn opposes ICE, apparently Christians, and said she hates Nashville—in the district she sought to represent. Decision Desk called the election after the vote count from Nashville was offset by red counties from across the district.

Ahead of the election, President Trump posted "I am asking all America First Patriots in Tennessee's 7th Congressional District, who haven't voted yet, to please GET OUT AND VOTE on Election Day, Tuesday, December 2nd, for a phenomenal Candidate, Matt Van Epps. Matt is fighting against a woman who hates Christianity, will take away your guns, wants Open Borders, Transgender for everybody, men in women's sports, and openly disdains Country music.

"She said all of these things precisely," he continued, "and without question — IT'S ON TAPE! Do not take this Race for granted. The Radical Left Democrats are spending a fortune to beat one of the best Candidates we've ever had, Matt Van Epps! You can win this Election for Matt. Van Epps previously served as the commissioner of the Tennessee Department of General Services. Behn is a Democrat state representative who was calls herself "a pissed-off social worker." She has protested ICE, worked as a community organizer and fought against the closure of rural hospitals in the state. 

Van Epps has vowed to rebuild the economy and bring manufacturing jobs back to America. His priority, he said, "is to put Tennessee families, workers, and small businesses first." He is also a backer of the Crypto industry and artificial intelligence. 

He has vowed to support veterans, keep America's borders secure, protect farmers and rural communities, work alongside Trump on an America First Agenda, to protect women's sports, defend the Second Amendment, fight for pro-life policies, and to stand with Israel.

Democrats recently won a slate of elections in November that were seen as a bellwether of what could be coming down the pike for the GOP majority in the House and Senate, as well as in local elections. Van Epps' win is by a slim margin though Tennessee's district 7 is substantially red, which indicates that Republicans are falling short of their goals for leadership.
