Seattle Public Schools history teacher with a criminal record has been placed on paid administrative leave after claiming that the October 7 massacre was justified and suggesting there was no evidence that Hamas raped and beheaded the innocent victims.

Ian Golash, who until recently taught tenth grade and served as chair of the social studies department at Chief Sealth International High School, has a history of antisemitic behavior, and displayed images of terrorists in his classroom.

News of Golash's situation was revealed on Facebook by his father, Mike.

"Ian has been placed on paid administrative leave for the rest of the semester," the elder Golash explained, claiming that his son was being punished for "speaking out against genocide in Gaza," and failing to mention any of his comments. "He has been told not to speak to any students of teachers in the Seattle school system."

Earlier this month, Golash was confronted on his views by Accuracy in Media's Adam Guillette.

"Was what happened to Israel on October 7th justified?" he asked, to which Golash responded, "Yes."

"The rape of women at a music festival was justified?" Guillette continued. Despite video evidence live streamed by Hamas, reports from Israel the US, and the United Nations itself acknowledging the atrocities had taken place, Golash refused to acknowledge reality.

"Where's the evidence that there was rape?" the teacher said, before claiming that the murder of women was ok because "resistance against Israel is justified."

At the time, Seattle Public Schools vowed to review his comments.

Golash first made headlines in December of last year for failing a student on a quiz for saying men can't get pregnant.

This is a breaking story and will be updated.
