The Liberal Government House Leader has called for an investigation into a leaked photo of a Quebec-based, Liberal MP who was naked during a hybrid parliamentary session.

Trudeau Minister Pablo Rodriguez called the leaking of the photograph potentially criminal, according to CBC News. This photograph showed MP William Amos naked as he changed from his jogging attire into his work outfit.

Fortunately enough for Amis, the MP was wise enough to place his telephone over his you-know-what sparing him further embarrassment.

Rodriguez called the leak an act of "callous disrespect." He has asked the speaker to investigate the leak.

"I would like to say that the conduct of the person who took the screenshot is not only extremely unfortunate but it is mean-spirited and life-changing for one of our colleagues," continued Rodriguez.

"Are we really at a point in our politics where it is acceptable to try and destroy the reputation and humiliate a colleague because someone finds a very unfortunate error and unintentional mistake to be funny," asked Rodriguez.

"Our politics has taken a very dark and destructive turn if this is the case," he concluded.

The speaker has not yet said whether he will take on this investigation.
