Trump said in a post on Truth Social, "This Radical Left Lunatic of a Judge, a troublemaker and agitator who was sadly appointed by Barack Hussein Obama, was not elected President - He didn’t WIN the popular VOTE (by a lot!), he didn’t WIN ALL SEVEN SWING STATES, he didn’t WIN 2,750 to 525 Counties, HE DIDN’T WIN ANYTHING!"

On Saturday, Boasberg issued an order demanding that the planes with gang members from Tren de Aragua as well as MS-13 be turned around and brought back to the US if they were deported under the Trump administration's invoking the Alien Enemies Act of 1798.
The law has usually been used during war time, and has only been used three times in the country’s history, per Politico. Trump has declared that gangs such as Tren de Aragua as well as MS-13 are terrorist organizations, and as such are enemies to the United States.
The ruling from Boasberg came in response to a lawsuit brought on behalf of five suspected gang members by the ACLU when they were facing deportation. On Saturday, the Trump administration invoked the Alien Enemies Act, and in response the judge broadened his order to the 261 foreign nationals on the planes.
The judge said at 6:45pm, “Any plane containing these folks that is going to take off or is in the air needs to be returned to the United States however that is accomplished." However, a written order was not given until later, after the planes were in the air, and they made their way to El Salvador.
On Monday, White House press secretary told reporters when pressed on the issue, "All of the planes that were subject to the written order—the judge's written order—took off before the order was entered in the courtroom on Saturday, and the administration will, of course, be happily answering all of those questions that the judge poses in court later today."
She also said that law enforcement was able to confirm the identities of all those that were deported on the planes and added that the Trump administration is "wholly confident that [they] are going to win" the case in court.
During a Monday hearing, lawyers representing the Trump administration appeared before Boasberg and argued that the administration "complied with the [written] order," and argued that it took precedent over the oral order given by Boasberg at 6:45 pm on Saturday.
"You’re saying that you felt that you could disregard it because it wasn’t a written order,” Boasberg responded. He then called the argument a "stretch" and ordered that the Department of Justice hand over more information regarding the case and those deported on the planes.
