I have ordered the immediate dismissal of the Board of Visitors for the Army, Air Force, Navy, and Coast Guard. We will have the strongest Military in History, and that begins by appointing new individuals to these Boards. We must make the Military Academies GREAT AGAIN!"
Per the US Naval Academy, "The duty of the Academy's Board of Visitors is to inquire into the state of morale and discipline, the curriculum, instruction, physical equipment, fiscal affairs, academic methods, and other matters relating to the academy which the Board decides to consider."
In the wake of Trump's November victory, the US Army saw in December the best recruiting numbers in 12 years. In January, the military branch saw the best recruitment numbers in 15 years. Over 8,000 servicemembers who had been discharged under the Biden administration for not taking the Covid-19 vaccine have been reinstated with full back pay being provided. "From 2021 to 2023, the Biden Administration and former Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin discharged over 8,000 troops solely due to their COVID-19 vaccination status," the White House added. "After the vaccine mandate was repealed in 2023, only 43 of the more than the 8,000 troops dismissed elected to return to service under the Biden Administration and Secretary Austin."
