Utah Governor Spencer Cox has confirmed that the suspect in the assassination of Charlie Kirk is 22-year-old Tyler Robinson, who was turned in by his father and was detained by law enforcement. Cox has also revealed what the bullet casings connected to the case had inscribed on them, which included messages about Antifa and furries.

In a press conference, Cox said that a family member had spoken with a family friend and confessed or implied that Robinson was responsible for the murder of Kirk. Cox also detailed the description of the engravings on the bullet casings.

The fired casing read, "Notices bulge OWO what's this?" There were also inscriptions on the unfired casings.

"Inscriptions on the three unfired casings read, 'Hey, fascist! Catch!' Up arrow symbol, right arrow symbol, and three down arrow symbols. A second unfired casing read, 'Bella ciao, bella ciao, bella ciao, ciao, ciao.' A third unfired casing read, 'If you read this, you are gay, LMAO.'"

Bella Ciao is a song that is linked to Antifa themes, but was once an old Italian song. "Notices bulges OWO what's this" is linked to memes in furry subcultures, according to Know Your Meme

"I want to thank the family members of Tyler Robinson who did the right thing in this case, and were able to bring him into law enforcement as well," Cox said.

"Investigators reviewed additional video footage from UVU surveillance and identified Robinson arriving on UVU campus in a gray Dodge Challenger at approximately 8:29 am, on September 10, in which he is observed on video in a plain maroon t-shirt, light-colored shorts, a black hat with a white logo and light-colored shoes. When encountered in person by investigators in Washington County on September 12, in the early morning hours, Robinson was observed in consistent clothing with those surveillance images," Cox said in the press conference.

Cox added that Robinson had been more political in recent years, and that when he spoke to family members previously, Robinson had expressed hatred of Kirk.

Robinson had also spoken to a roommate over text about "needing to retrieve a rifle from a drop point" as well as "engraving bullets and a mention of a scope and the rifle being unique."

The Utah governor gave a really great speech at the press conference this morning (9/12). Everyone should listen to it.
