"What kid, what girl knows whether she'd going to want to have a baby long-term or what testosterone will do to her uterus, or that she will increase her risk of heart attack by taking some drugs?" Waggoner asked. Keilar interjected, "Some of them do."
CNN host Brianna Keilar claimed Wednesday that trans-identified children are capable of fully understanding the potential long-term consequences of sex change procedures. She argued that transgender children understand they were meant to be the opposite sex from a young age, with young boys recognizing they were supposed to be child-bearing mothers rather than fathers.
The remarks came during a discussion with Kristen Waggoner, the president of Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF), about the Supreme Court's oral arguments in US v. Skrmetti, a case pertaining to Tennessee's prohibition of sex change surgeries and puberty blockers for minors. The SCOTUS case focuses solely on minors but Keilar attempted to argue that the ADF is also working to ban sex change procedures for trans adults, which Waggoner vehemently denied, Fox News reported.
"I think a lot of people are confused about this issue. They don't know where they stand on it. But where's the room for a conversation about this?" Keilar questioned. "I love that we're having one right now in terms of a conversation and that's what was at issue today," Waggoner responded. "Because the ACLU and the Biden administration has taken this issue to the US Supreme Court and said there is no room for this debate."
Waggoner criticized the Biden administration and the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) for their attempts to "constitutionalize all of American life" by asserting that children have a constitutional right to sex change procedures, pointing out that minors are most likely not aware of the negative consequences that may arise in the future from transitioning.
"What kid, what girl knows whether she'd going to want to have a baby long-term or what testosterone will do to her uterus, or that she will increase her risk of heart attack by taking some drugs?" Waggoner asked.
Keilar interjected, "Some of them do." Waggoner responded shaking her head, "No, no..."
"None of them? None of them do?" Keilar fired back.
"What we know from the science, and again, it's about not putting ideology over evidence. And that's what's happening here," Waggoner explained. "85 percent of all kids that are able to grow through puberty, who say they're gender confused, over 85 percent of those kids live at peace with their bodies and consistent with their sex. In those children that are put on puberty blockers, the science tells us that you're putting them on a one-way treadmill to live as the opposite sex for the rest of their life, and they will still experience being a lifelong patient."

Kids can’t decide on tomorrow’s school clothes, but it’s ok for them to choose transitioning?! What planet is this woman from? Studies show 90+% of gender dysphoria patients resolve there gender without treatment by age 18, so exactly what is the point in encouraging body mutilation prior to attaining age?
