On Saturday, CNN investigative reporter Andy Kaczynski claimed "Transgender Day of Visibility" has always been on the same date every year and those upset about President Biden declaring it a holiday while it falls on Easter thi year are simply looking for something to be outraged about.

Transgender Day of Visibility was established in 2009, when Kaczynski was 20.

In a post on X, Kaczynski said, "Growing up a religious Catholic, who went to church twice weekly I understand that Easter changes every year and transgender visibility day always occurs on the same date."

"This is just making stuff up to be outraged about," he added.

The statement was in response to Steve Cortes's post comparing Biden and Trump. He said, "Joe Biden marking Easter: Declares "Transgender Day of Visibility.' President Trump marking Easter: 'On Easter Sunday we proclaim with joy, ‘Christ has risen!’' Vote accordingly."

On Saturday, former President Trump recognized the Easter holiday in a video posted online. He said, "We remember the suffering and death of God’s only son and His glorious resurrection on the third day."

On Friday, the White House put out a proclamation to declare "March 31, 2024, as Transgender Day of Visibility." It said, "On Transgender Day of Visibility, we honor the extraordinary courage and contributions of transgender Americans and reaffirm our Nation’s commitment to forming a more perfect Union — where all people are created equal and treated equally throughout their lives."

New York Governor Kathy Hochul ordered landmarks in the state to be lit up with pink, white, and light blue on Sunday to celebrate "Transgender Day of Visibility." In a post on X, She said, "Trans rights are human rights, and I'm proud that we've taken nation-leading action to protect and affirm transgender, non-binary, and gender non-conforming New Yorkers. New York will always be a welcoming, inclusive, and affirming home for all. #TransDayOfVisibility." In previous years the city acknowledged Easter.

On Sunday, President Biden acknowledged the Easter holiday with a post on X that said, "Jill and I send our warmest wishes to Christians around the world celebrating the power of hope and the promise of Christ’s Resurrection this Easter Sunday."
