Conservative Shadow Minister for Ethics Michael Barrett and Conservative Shadow Minister for the Treasury Board Luc Berthold released a statement on Monday calling on the Trudeau Liberals to repay taxpayers after it was found that Minister Seamus O'Regan "used taxpayer dollars to campaign for the Liberal Party of Newfoundland and Labrador."

“This is just more unethical and corrupt behaviour Canadians have come to expect from the Trudeau Liberals," the statement says. "Using Canadian taxpayer money during a pandemic to forward the interest of their political allies in Newfoundland and Labrador is not something that should be taking place."

"More scandals. More corruption. More cover-ups. That is what Canadians can expect from Justin Trudeau and the Liberals. There is only one choice to end this corruption and secure accountability in Ottawa – Canada's Conservatives," the statement concludes.
