Amazon accused of sabotaging sales of Tucker Carlson biography

All Seasons Press said “craven forces” are trying to “silence” the former Fox News host.

The publisher of Tucker Carlson's biography is accusing Amazon of sabotaging sales of Tucker by Chadwick Moore after reporting that only 3,000 copies of the book were sold in the first week.
In a statement, All Seasons Press, which published the book by Chadwick Moore, said “craven forces” are trying to “silence” the former Fox News host by allegedly reporting sale figures that are much lower than the 66,750 books that have been shipped to retailers.

The company said, “The left-wing echo chamber is attempting to tank the book sales using the book scan number to prove the book is a flop with the goal of diminishing Tucker’s stature and enforcing the narrative that Tucker is now irrelevant.”

“For the first week Tucker was on sale, book scan only reported 3,227 copies sold, placing it 40th on its bestseller list. This is because it appears that Amazon did not report its complete one-week sales to BookScan. If it had, it would have likely placed between 5th and 7th.”
“BookScan does not measure actual sales from retailers but uses an algorithm taking samples from some but not all retailers. Most importantly, BookScan relies on accurate reporting from said retailers.”
“Right on cue, the liberal media took aim using the book scan number to report it as a flop and proof of Tucker's irrelevance. This is hardly the case. At the time Tucker launched, over 50,000 units have been shipped to retailers, including 7,523 units to Amazon. Direct sales through the publisher of almost six times the number of books reported by BookScan and the frenzied error-ridden journalists.”
“When the pre-sale was announced, the book reached #14 among all books on Amazon and number one in numerous categories. On launch day, the book was listed as sold out on Amazon within minutes.”
All Seasons Press has announced that it has retained counsel as well as its intention to investigate the ranking methods of BookScan and, if necessary, “be forwarding these findings to the Federal Trade Commission.”
The tech giant has also been accused of asking preorder customers if they wished to cancel their orders and making them log onto a desktop computer in order to “proactively confirm they still wanted the book or face automatic cancellation.”
According to the publisher, over 40 percent of those who ordered the book after the launch received them before those who pre-ordered it.
The publisher added, “In fact, in spite of what seems to be a concerted effort by Carlson's detractors to prevent the success of Tucker, demand has been so strong that All Seasons Press has already ordered a second printing.”
The new biography is based on hours of interviews with Carlson about his life and his formative relationship with his journalist father, Dick Carlson.
