Dr. Debra Soh on ‘The End of Gender’ — CancelThis

The End of Gender

Dr. Debra Soh is a Sexologist, Neuroscientist and author of a newly released book. In The End of Gender, Dr. Soh debunks gender myths using research, and scientific examinations of gender identity and sex.

Is gender socially constructed or is it something we are born with? In a culture oversaturated with "experts" on this topic, Dr. Soh brings a valuable and scientific analysis of sex and gender. Topics of the book include gender-neutral parenting, neuroscience of transgender people, and gender dysphoric children.

Organized from the starting point of popular misconceptions, Dr. Soh addresses suppositions that are unscientific, such as the notion that there are more than two genders, or that biological sex is a spectrum. In this sense, The End of Gender is a easy to read book that answers these questions in a simple and scientific manner.

After reading the book and speaking to Dr. Soh, I feel confident in my scientific understanding of these issues and I feel empowered to be part of the cultural conversation. This is why I highly recommend reading The End of Gender.

People are often curious about gender issues and want to learn more, yet the topic is seemingly forbidden for discussion in the public forums. Whether you are a parent interested in these issues or someone like me who is simply curious, Dr. Soh will surely answer all of your questions.

Barbara Kay also recently reviewed Dr. Soh's book. "It would take thousands of words to do justice to the book as a whole, as it covers such a wide gamut of trans-related issues, and each one handily. Soh’s chapter on the social contagion of “rapid onset gender dysphoria” (ROGD) in teenage girls, for example, is superb."

The End of Gender is available for purchase on Amazon.
