New Dylan Mulvaney song claims casual sex, pill-popping, and having mental breakdowns are all part of being a girl, and that he is one

The song reduces "girlhood" to a selection of learned behaviors, behaviors that Mulvaney sings about learning and being taught, that include essentially being vapid, slutty, and mentally deficient. In his shallow attempt to claim he is a girl, he reduces being female to surface observations and appearances.

The video and song makes a mockery of being female as Mulvaney sings and dances, looking like an awkward teenage boy in Barbie doll clothes. He doesn't fantasize about being a woman, he fantasizes about being a girl.

"Girls do all, show me the way," Mulvaney sings, "They're why I am a girl today."

For Mulvaney, who co-wrote the song, being a girl means not being able to get out of bed, taking prescription drugs, overspending on retail merchandise, sleeping with men without knowing their name then laughing about it, flirting to get free drinks, and having mental breakdowns while listening to film soundtracks and bathing.

He wears pig tails, he has a water gun fight, he gossips in bed with girls about boys, in short, he fetishizes femininity and celebrates the most offensive stereotypes about women while pretending to be one and to break down gender stereotypes. But all Mulvaney does is reinforce them. It's like a kink for Mulvaney who takes on the cover girl appearances of femininity while retaining every shred of maleness.

Mulvaney, who launched his trans project two years ago after a series of failed animal encounter videos and a bizarre freak-out on The Price is Right, found fame by claiming to be female and publicly going through a gender transition. Since then, he's had "facial feminization" surgery, kept his male genitals, and won awards for being a woman.

Becoming a girl for Mulvaney has been a profitable enterprise and one that's seen him gain an audience with the president to discuss his belief that children should be encouraged to change sex. Mulvaney was given a marketing partnership with Bud Light, which tanked the brand, but gave Mulvaney a boost. Mulvaney has had brand deals across the spectrum of women's products, from KitchenAid mixers to Kate Spade handbags.

But it hasn't been all blonde dye-jobs, pop songs, and beers in the bath for Mulvaney, who has complained in interviews about how hard it's been for him to find love or even closeness in a romantic way. In April 2023, Mulvaney publicly complained that he'd never been kissed "as a girl."

In the video, Mulvaney struts around while women silently support him in the background. This is exactly what trans activists want from women—to be quiet, look pretty, and tell men how much better they are at being women than actual women are. Mulvaney, for all his "affirmation" and positive messaging, isn't breaking down gender barriers, he's just advancing them.
