Rogan had made the move to the Spotify platform from YouTube in Sept. of 2020, after which many of his more controversial legacy episodes have started to summarily disappear.
According to the New York Post, the list of episodes that have been pulled from the streaming service include, among others, podcasts featuring the following people as guests:
In total, at least 42 episodes have been taken "off the air" by Spotify.
"We are not going to ban specific individuals from being guests on other people’s shows, as the episode/show complies with our content policies," commented Horacio Gutierrez, the head of Spotify's legal team on an episode featuring Texas firebrand Alex Jones, which is still available as of this writing.
Other episodes featuring Jones have been disappeared, however.
Rogan himself said that some episodes have always been slated to disappear as part of the deal he inked with Spotify.
"There were a few episodes they didn’t want on their platform, and I was like 'OK, I don’t care,'" he said at the time.
