Elon Musk roasts CNN after publishing fake news, says he’s “surprised CNN still exists.”

An article by CNN claiming that Elon Musk failed to follow up on a promise to deliver ventilators to several California hospitals. Musk purchased the FDA-approved ventilators from China’s surplus in a move that California governor called “heroic.”

"I told you a few days ago that he was likely to have 1,000 ventilators this week," Newsom said. "They've arrived in Los Angeles, and Elon Musk is already working with hospital association and others to get those ventilators out. It’s a heroic effort."

CNN later reported that a representative from the governor's office said that the much-needed ventilators never arrived.

CNN ran with the story, only to later find that Musk kept his receipts. Musk did not mince words upon finding the smear piece against him, asking how CNN “still exists.”

Musk then called for Governor Newsom to fix the misunderstanding, posting a photo of an email response from a Los Angeles county government email, confirming that the ventilators had arrived and “worked great.”

Additionally, Musk posted an email from the CEO of Mammoth Hospital in California, giving his "thanks for the generous gift to our hospital from Mr. Musk and Tesla."

"These ventilators will be quickly deployed in our hospital in anticipation of the coming wave of patients who will be suffering from the most severe effects of COVID-19."
