Fauci—now out of spotlight—appearing on local TV, obscure YouTube channels

Dr. Anthony Fauci, the public face of the Biden administration's response to the coronavirus pandemic, has been conspicuously absent from marquee media appearances.

Over the last two years, the director of the National Institute of Allergies and Infectious Diseases never missed an opportunity to be in front of a camera, thereby making his absence more notable.

As the American public grows tired of COVID-19 restrictions, and in response, even the Democrat governors who imposed the most stringent restrictions rolled mandates back in advance of the State of the Union address, Fauci is still clinging to masks and warning of the dangers of getting back to pre-pandemic life.

Yet, as COVID-19 has increasingly polled badly for Democrats, according to Jordan Schachtel of The Dossier, "...a Democratic polling firm recently convinced the Biden Administration and its allies in Congress to drop the hysteria. With midterms around the corner, and trouble raging in Eastern Europe, it was time to put the kibosh on all of it."

Radio host Chris Stigall posted the memo titled Take The Win from Impact Research to Twitter, which recommended that Democrats declare the crisis phase of COVID-19 at an end as well as recognizing that the American people are worn out from restrictions.

The memo also advised that Democrats should acknowledge that COVID-19 is now part of our lives and not to set "COVID zero" as a goal.

The memo also cautioned against talking about future restrictions.

Since the date of the memo, Feb. 24, Fauci has been out of the mainstream and relegated to lesser-known streaming shows.

The NIAID's Dr Fauci In The News section of the website, which touts their director's latest hits, has not posted a new appearance since Feb. 17.

Schachtel found Fauci's more recent appearances, which included an online streaming show called Woke AF, in which he claimed the unvaccinated "…give the virus the opportunity to circulate among us."

Schachtel also found a recent Fauci appearance on a local Washington, DC, channel where Fauci demands "money now" for the NIAID and another local TV segment where Fauci said, "I don't think people should get the impression that we’re saying that this is all over. We’re going to be dealing with SARS-CoV-2 for quite a while."

Fauci also spoke during a sparsely attended White House COVID-19 Task Force livestream social media presentation, which only accumulated approximately 7,000 views.
