Rock band Foo Fighters will only permit fully-vaccinated concert-goers or those with a negative COVID test result to attend their Alaska shows. Ticketmaster announced on Saturday that they must receive the test result 48 hours before the show.

Ticket purchasers received an email clarifying that fans under 12 must also take a COVID diagnostic test within 48 hours of the event and provide a negative test result. The emails also noted that unvaccinated patrons over 12 who have a valid medical exemption must also take a COVID diagnostic test.

The statewide alert level remains high for COVID at 289.9 per 100,000 people. 53.1 percent of Alaskans 12 and older fully vaccinated.

Ticketmaster added that either a negative test result or proof of vaccination is needed before entering. The original card or copy of the card with an ID to match is considered acceptable.

Those who are fully vaccinated must wait two weeks after the final dose to attend the venue.

The band has three performances scheduled for Alaska. Two in Anchorage on August 17 and 19 at the Dena'ina Center and one in Fairbanks on August 21 at the Carlson Center, reported Anchorage Daily News.

Mask wearing is encouraged in the state but not required.

On Friday, there were 338 new cases identified in Alaska, with 313 residents and 25 nonresidents. Yukon opened its border to Alaskans five days ago.
