“The Phrase, 'female semen' says it all.”

The Free the People organization is teaming up with comedian Lou Perez on a new series called “Comedy is Murder.” The opening video, released on April 19th, is called Misgendering a Murderer.

The episode highlights the lengths society goes to respect the pronouns of convicted criminals and the ramifications it leads to, such as male rapists and murderers being placed in female prisons for simply self-identifying as a woman.

Misgendering a Murderer takes place as two police officers are interrogating a vicious serial killer. Instead of a good cop and a bad cop, they portray an ally cop and a “transphobic” cop. One officer begins using female pronouns for the criminal, who is clearly a man, confusing his partner. Later it is revealed that the man identifies as a woman, so in order for the officer to be a "good ally," he has to respect the killers "identity."

Lou Perez told the Post Millennial that this idea came together as he noticed a New York Times article go to great lengths to use the female pronouns for a two-time killer that was let out of prison after identifying as a woman, only to be charged again at 83 years old. Perez said, “Call me naive, but I couldn’t believe how hard the Times went respecting the pronouns/gender identity of a convicted murderer – who made no attempt to pass as a woman whatsoever.”

He continued, “At the time I had some jokes about it. Like, it seems that the new rule is if you’re a man and you kill a woman you have to become that woman. To preserve the ratio or something.”

Terry Kibbe, the CEO of Free the People, said in a statement to the Post Millennial: “Comedy has always pushed boundaries and challenged peoples preconceived Biases. Think of Lenny Bruce, George Carlin, or Dave Chapelle. But today, iconoclastic comedians might just be canceled.” She went on to say, “Now more than ever America needs raw, unfiltered speech. Even when it might make us uncomfortable, and comedians who are willing to speak truth to power.”

On the video itself, Kibbe said: “Free the People teamed up with Lou Perez to produce a new comedy series, Comedy is Murder. In our first episode… Lou is arrested for a murder 'she' says she didn't commit.”

She added, “The Phrase, 'female semen' says it all.”

The video, though comedic, shows a serious issue that we are seeing in our society. Many have begun to worry more about the language we use rather than the crimes being committed. When a transgender man murdered six people at an elementary school in Nashville last month, there was debate about which pronouns were being used. Some were more upset that media outlets used “she” rather than “he” in referring to the shooter.

This also comes at a time when males are being placed into female prisons if they self-identify as a woman. In April of 2022, reports showed female inmates becoming pregnant from males housed in their prisons. Reports from England have shown that many of the male prisoners housed with females, ‘detransition’ once they leave the prison.
