Fundraiser to support lone holdout Clancy juror hits $23,000

After the holdout juror in the Lindsay Clancy case has been targeted by the media and other jurors in the case publicly, donations have been pouring into a fundraiser for the lone juror who did not want to acquit Clancy of criminal responsibility for killing her three children.

The juror, who has yet to be publicly identified, split with 11 others who wanted to declare Clancy not guilty of murder in the killing of her children, where her legal team has said that she was suffering from postpartum psychosis. He has been identified as a black male.

The fundraiser for the lone juror has brought in over $23,000 of a $50,000 goal and was started by Tom Hennessy on X. The fund is raising money to "cover security, lawyers, and lost work" if needed.

"The judge left him on. The jury hung. Mistrial. Now she can be tried again for killing her children instead of getting a standing ovation for her symptoms. We’re not letting this slide. If they come for him, and they will, this is to cover security, lawyers, and lost work," Hennessey wrote on the GiveSendGo page.

Donations have been increasing after a story from NBC Boston targeted the juror, digging up allegations of domestic abuse. Charges of assault were brought against the juror by his wife, but were ultimately dismissed, according to the report from NBC Boston.

Clancy has admitted to killing her three young children—Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and Callen, 8 months—by strangulation with exercise bands. During trial, evidence was presented by the defense claiming that she was in the throes of postpartum psychosis and mental health struggles when she killed the kids and then attempted to kill herself by cutting her wrists and neck and then jumping out of a second-story window. The prosecution has argued that Clancy is guilty of premeditated murder of her children.
