Brett Cooper, a Gen-Z social media personality and conservative podcaster, has signed on as a contributor to Fox News, the network said on Wednesday. The 23-year-old political commentator will provide commentary across all Fox News Media platforms, as part of the network's aim to attract younger audiences that don't usually turn to cable news networks.

In a statement, Fox News Media cited Cooper's "grounded perspective, sharp wit, and distinctive takes" as key reasons for her joining the team. Cooper is scheduled to make her Fox News debut on The Will Cain Show at 4 pm EST on Wednesday.

The Daily Mail reported that a Morning Consult poll found that only 27 to 30 percent of Gen-Z watch broadcast or cable news sources on a weekly basis. The majority of individuals (63 percent) said they obtained their news from social media networks, where Cooper rose to prominence.

The former Daily Wire host is joined by Riley Gaines, a former collegiate swimmer renowned for her activism to keep men out of women's sports, as part of the limited number of Gen Z talent that Fox News has acquired.

Cooper was raised in Chattanooga, Tennessee, before relocating to Los Angeles, California, to pursue a career in the entertainment industry at 10 years old. Cooper filed for emancipation when she turned 15.

She obtained a degree in English literature from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and a minor in business from UC Berkeley's Haas School of Business. Cooper, who recently announced she was pregnant with her first child, currently lives on a farm outside of Nashville, Tennessee, with her husband, Alex Tombul, whom she married in April 2024.
