The" GOP is trying to recruit Muslim Americans, a community that makes up less than 2% of the US population, against another tiny marginalized group of American, transgender people."
Psaki compared the divide that has taken place between the Muslim community and gender indoctrination in schools to the "Southern strategy" from Richard Nixon.
This "strategy," Psaki claimed, was the GOP's effort to get white southerners to vote Republican instead of Democrat in the election by pitting southern whites against blacks.
She called this an "old ply from the GOP playbook" that the GOP is "reviving."
Psaki claimed the "GOP is trying to recruit Muslim Americans, a community that makes up less than two percent of the US population, against another tiny marginalized group of American, transgender people."
Recently in Maryland, a group of Muslims gathered in Montgomery County in order to fight for their rights as parent to opt their children out of LGBTQ+ teachings of the school.
They chanted, "Protect our children," and "Religious Freedom now."
Another group in Ottawa, Canada showed Muslim children, who were fed up with gender indoctrination, stomping on the Pride Progress flag with cheers coming from a crowd around them.
Pskai criticized Republicans for previously talking about Sharia Law, a legal code that is associated with extremely conservative Islamic countries.
The most extreme interpretation of Sharia law in some places, such as Iran, have laws that imprison women for not wearing a hijab in public. However, interpretations of Sharia vary by location. Many Muslims in the US do not adopt such extreme interpretations of Sharia as part of their religious observance.
She compared Trump talking about transgender people to George Wallace saying, "You know, I tried to talk about good roads and good schools and all these things that have been part of my career, and nobody listened. And then I began talking about n******, and they stomped the floor."
Psaki called this a "cynical" part of the "playbook" of the GOP to "regain the White House."
