Jimmy Kimmel claims Antifa is an 'entirely imaginary organization'

During his show on Thursday night, Jimmy Kimmel claimed that Antifa is not real, and arrests of such militants undertaken by the Trump administration is "no different than if they announced they rounded up a dozen Decepticons," referring to the antagonistic robot beings from the Transformers franchise.

After playing a clip of DHS Secretary Kristi Noem announcing that dozens of individuals in Antifa or affiliated with the domestic terror group, Kimmel said, "you understand, there is no Antifa."

"This is an entirely imaginary organization. There is not an Antifa. This is no different than if they announced they rounded up a dozen Decepticons. 'We’ve captured the Chupacabra, everyone.'"

Kimmel's comments come after a Wednesday White House roundtable session in which journalists who have experienced the domestic terror group firsthand recounted their experiences, many of whom criticized those who claim that the group does not exist.

The Post Millennial Editor at Large Andy Ngo said, "Thank you so much for acknowledging Antifa and for directing your administration to treat them as domestic terrorists. It’s going to be really challenging, because how they organize is that they are decentralized, autonomous, and they operate on deception, and we’re still, to this day, told that they don’t exist, that it’s a figment of our imagination."

Turning Point USA Frontlines reporter Savanah Hernandez told Trump that the reason Antifa feels emboldened to attack journalists and others is "because the same media that’s sitting in this room with us has declared all of us at this table Nazis and fascists. And they’ve been doing this for years. This is why Antifa feels emboldened to attack us. Almost every single person at this table has been threatened with a steel bat. We’ve been assaulted. We’ve been harassed. We’ve been threatened. And that is in huge part due to the media."

The Post Millennial's Katie Daviscourt, recounted her assault outside of an ICE facility where Antifa militants have held an occupation since June. "I first wanted to start by thanking you guys for designating Antifa a terrorist group. It’s exactly what this group is. It’s a long time coming." She added, "I know their inner workings, and Antifa uses extreme political violence to crush the civil rights of their political enemies, and believes that violence is justified by any means necessary."

Human Events Senior Editor Jack Posobiec said, "Antifa is real. Antifa has been around in various iterations for almost a hundred years in some instances going back to the Weimar Republic in Germany."
