"The last time Gazans 'self-determined,' they elected a terrorist group to lead their government," Sen. Tom Cotton said.
"The United States remains committed to the Palestinian people’s right to dignity and to self-determination," Biden posted to X on Tuesday morning. "The actions of Hamas terrorists don’t take that right away."
Biden's remarks prompted numerous reactions, including one from Arkansas Sen. Tom Cotton (R), who said: "The last time Gazans 'self-determined,' they elected a terrorist group to lead their government."
"The Palestinian people of Gaza LITERALLY ELECTED HAMAS," commented former Assistant Secretary of the Treasury Monica Crowley.
"You have no dignity," remarked Blaze Media Senior Editor and podcast host Dail Horowitz. "These people support the crap. Heck, a plurality of American muslims support Hamas, according to the new Cygnal poll."
Biden's remarks come after Hamas terrorists launched a surprise attack against Israel on Oct. 7, with an estimated 1,400 Israelis being killed since the initial attack and over 200 that are believed to be hostages. Since then, numerous Anti-Israel protests have been seen around the United States, with a recent example seen at a "Queers for Palestine" march held in New York City on Monday night.
Chants of, "from the river to the sea, Palestine will be free," could be heard throughout the event, and a speaker at one point told a crowd of listeners, "we understand that Palestinian liberation is black liberation."
A separate group of self-proclaimed LGBT activists in New York City was ridiculed earlier this month after a Brooklyn club called The End advertised an event titled "Intifada Fundraver," and displayed a video of the Hamas terror attacks on Israel to help with advertising.
The club boasts that it is "LGBTQ+ friendly," and "identifies" as both "women-owned" and "LGBTQ+ owned."
Meanwhile, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, an elderly man was chased and attacked by a mob during an anti-Israel protest.
