Fani Willis, who was grilled by defendants for the 19 co-defendants in the Georgia RICO case on Thursday afternoon, will not take the stand for a second day, as the state had no further questions for her.

Willis testified for around two hours late Thursday afternoon on her and Wade’s romantic relationship which has questions as to whether the pair should be disqualified from the case.

During Willis’ testimony, she said that she met Wade at a conference in October 2019, and the two began dating in spring 2022. The relationship ended, she said, in the summer of 2023. Wade was hired as special prosecutor in the case against Trump and others on November 1, 2021.

A former close friend and colleague of Willis, Robin Yearti, testified that their relationship actually began in 2019.

Willis said she paid Wade back in cash for the trips they took, including two cruises and a a trip to Belize, which Willis later stated she did not know what continent it was on.
