"It's time to unite around strong leadership and policies that grow our great nation, not four more years of President Biden."
In the post, Youngkin wrote, "It's time to unite around strong leadership and policies that grow our great nation, not four more years of President Biden."
"Voters in the Commonwealth and across the country have spoken loudly for President Donald J. Trump and I endorse him for President of the United States. His record on border security, restoring American leadership around the world, reducing taxes and lowering the cost of living for all Americans stands in stark contrast to the open borders, failed leadership on the global stage, rampant inflation and higher costs of today," the governor added.
Trump posted a photo of the endorsement to Truth Social and said, "Thank you to Governor Glenn Youngkin. I look forward to working with this fantastic Governor to WIN THE GREAT STATE OF VIRGINIA ON NOVEMBER 5th. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!"
Trump won Virginia as well as 14 other states this week on Super Tuesday after which his only major opponent left in the primary, Nikki Haley, suspended her campaign.
Prior to the race, Youngkin had gained national attention for standing up for parental rights in Virginia schools, reversing policies forwarding transgender ideologies in schools. There were even calls for him to jump into the race as candidates threw their hats into the ring.
As Haley has bowed out, Youngkin endorsed Trump as the nominee for the 2024 race.
