Hunter Biden has threatened legal action against Fox News for publishing salacious photos of him as well as defamation in a letter sent to the outlet.

The president's son sent the letter to the company saying that a lawsuit against the news outlet is "imminent."

Lawyer Tina Glandian, a partner at Geragos & Geragos, stated in the letter, "While routinely defaming and disparaging Mr. Biden, FOX has simultaneously sought to profit by the unlawful exploitation of Mr. Biden's image, name, and likeness for commercial purposes and reprehensible dissemination of salacious photographs depicting Mr. Biden."

Many of the photos that Fox has publicized in media comes from Hunter Biden's laptop that was abandoned at a repair shop in Delaware right before the 2020 election. The letter accuses Fox New of breaking "revenge porn" laws.

According to ABC News, the letter added the outlet is "unlawfully published and continues to publish intimate images of Mr. Biden depicting him in the nude as well as engaged in sex acts in violation of the majority of states' laws against the nonconsensual disclosure of sexually explicit images and videos, sometimes referred to as 'revenge porn' laws,"

Hunter's legal team also demanded that the news outlet take down its "The Trial of Hunter Biden" series of a mock trial against him, according to Axios

Glandian also demanded in the letter that Fox News update viewers about the indictment of Alexander Smirnov, as well as preserve documentation of hosts Sean Hannity, Jesse Waters, and Maria Bartiromo.

Additionally, she requested the relevant articles about the president's son be marked with an editor's note.

The letter requested a response from Fox by April 26; however, Hunter’s legal team did not receive a response from the company before that date, a source familiar with the matter told Axios.

Fox News responded publicly to the accusations in the letter after it was reported on, stating, “Hunter Biden’s lawyers have belatedly chosen to publicly attack Fox News’ constitutionally protected coverage regarding their client. Mr. Biden is a public figure who has been the subject of investigations by both the Department of Justice and Congress, has been indicted by two different US Attorney’s Offices in California and Delaware, and has admitted to multiple incidents of wrongdoing. Consistent with the First Amendment, Fox News has accurately covered these highly publicized events as well as the subsequent indictment of an FBI informant who was the source of certain claims made about Mr. Biden.”
